A special first birthday to this little sweetie! I remember photographing her newborn session just about a year ago and she has grown into a beautiful little girl! For this session, we started with some whimsical and pink first birthday portraits. This sweet girl was a very good walker and she was on the move! It was tough to get her to sit by the pink and ivory teepee, but we managed to get a few 🙂 While editing these whimsical photos, I added a butterfly in a few photos just because it looked like she was looking at something. Later I found out that this little girl has a fascination with butterflies! Incorporating a butterfly was the perfect addition to the photos 🙂 Since she was a busy little girl, Mom and Dad brought bubbles and I’m so glad they did because the bubble photos are my favorite from the entire session. They bubbles add to the whimsical feel while also capturing the innocence of childhood.
After the first birthday portraits, we put the teepee away and changed her clothes for the family portion of the session. This lucky girl has two big brothers to make her laugh and protect her as she grows. We met at the Histroric Latta Plantation near Huntersville. The plantation had some lovely fall and rustic backdrops to use. We were also lucky to have some cows and donkeys to capture the attention of the littlest one 🙂 Started with some traditional family portraits around the plantation. We also included some fun candid photos with Dad and Mom as well as her brothers. The candid photos always tend to be some of my favorites because they capture emotion and the family at that stage in their lives.
Happy frist birthday sweet girl! I hope to see you again!
