Sweet Summer time newborn session on the blog today. I had the please of photographing baby boy’s big brother about two years ago. I just love this family. They have are the nicest and genuine people you will meet.
At the very end of May, I photographed their maternity photos at the lavender fields. Big brother Enoch was such a ham for the camera. Even though it was almost his bed time, he loved being outside in nature. We were able to get some wonderful photos with his Mom and baby brother.
In July, baby brother Jet made his appearance! For this summer time session, Mom and Dad’s request was green. Since it happen to be very warm day, I wanted to take a photo of Jet outside in some real greenery. I found a perfect patch of leaves ( made sure it was not poison ivy) I chose a very simple pose to achieve since it was 95 and very humid. Newborn’s will get warm and cold quickly, so I did not want him outside for too long. This particular pose is easy to achieve and we were outside no more than 5 mins. The photo among the leaves was my favorite photo from the session. It is so natural and defiantly incorporates the green mom and dad wanted!
Next we went back inside and took some photos on my beanbag while big brother slept. For some reason, baby jet was not a fan of being on my bean bag. Even with the space heater on, he was more fussy and unsettled. We got a few nice shots, but I think he actually did better outside! With newborns, each baby is different. Some will tolerate being posed while others will not. For Jet, he liked being all wrapped and snugly.
Since it was a warm summer day,we also went outside for a few a family photo. I took these photos at their home, and they have some large rocks in their backyard. I thought it would be nice to take a few family photo son their big rocks. I love how it turned out!
