In the begin of January, I start planning peach tree sessions. It may be the dead of winter, but the peach blooms are some of the first to arrive in South Carolina. The threes are short and grow beautiful pink blooms. They are some of my most favorite sessions, but some of the most difficult to plan. The weather dictates when the blooms arrive, and because it is still early early spring or end of winter, they are also at risk of hard freezes. So when the peach blooms do come, it’s go time for about two weeks. This year, I had four full sessions and 8 mini sessions. I try no tot go over board with bookings because I need to leave room for reschedules with bad weather comes. When its bloom time, it is GORGEOUS!!! This year, i did sessions in Ft Mill and Dallas NC. Sadly the Dallas NC orchards did not fair well for blooms. Next year I will only plan sessions in Ft Mill as they seem to be the prettiest and most predictable out of the orchards I’ve been too.
I had such a great time seeing some old faces and meeting some new families. For my mini session day in Ft Mill, we had perfect weather. Some soft sunlight and dry 60s weather. We couldn’t have asked for a better day! Here are some of my favorites from my peach tree sessions.
