When the peach trees are in bloom, and a baby girl is expected in April, a Spring time Maternity session is a must!! I absolutely love these beautiful pink blooms, especially when a baby girl is on the way! They typically will begin to bloom mid to late March, but the past two years, they have started to bloom the first week in March due to abnormally warm temps in Feb. To make it even more difficult, Mother natures decides to throw a curve ball and send freezing temps to possibly kill the blooms! That is what happened at the peach orchard we had originally planned in Dallas NC. The cold temps dropped to low for the blooms and they did not make it for our session. Luckily, the orchards south of Dallas in Fort Mil SC survived! So we changed our plans and drove down to Fort Mill on a Friday evening. I’m so glad we did because these blooms were perfect!
Mom to be chose a beautiful dress from Pink Blush Maternity in lilac. I am in LOVE with all the spring pastel colors of pinks, lilacs, and blues against her dark hair and fair skin. She is a stunning Momma to be!
We arrived just in time for the sun to dip perfectly blow the tree line. We started with some sunset photos before it was gone, then we moved into photos going down the orchard row. My favorite photo is my feature image which is the photo of Mom and Dad to be walking down the row. It is just a nice candid moment between this beautiful couple anticipating the arrival of their spring time girl.
I’m so excited to meet this precious little one sometime in April! I do hope she has dark hair like her gorgeous Mommy 🙂 Stay tuned for part two of this session when this couple becomes a family!
