I loved working with this smiley newborn girl! I first met her when she was in the womb on the first day of fall in September. I loved working with Mom and Dad. They are so easy to work with and photograph for both maternity and newborn photos.
For this newborn session, I decided to meet them at their home since I already had another session close to their home. Mom chose the colors of Coral and Grey and I absolutely love it! Coral i not a color I have used for a newborn session, so I made a few headbands to go with the coral wrap I purchased for her session. Coral is a tough color to match and it can be more pink, or more orange. Thank goodness for Photoshop to make all the coral’s match perfect.
This sweet girl really did not like me. She fought and fourth sleep and had one eye open for the first half of her session. Even though she was not as sleepy, she sure did give me a good amount of smiles! I usually only get one or no smiles in a session, but he gave me five!
Since she was born close to the Christmas Season, I added a little Christmas photo for the family. She yawned at the perfect time and I immediately thought of the Christmas hymn, Silent night.
The second half of the session was in the bucket, which she loved and happens to be my favorite photo. She did much much better on her tummy for my blanket photos. Some babies prefer back pose and some prefer tummy poses. It all just depends on the baby and how they are feeling. We also incorporated a piece of Mom’s wedding gown into a few shots and makes for a special photo.
Enjoy!
