I am in LOVE with the simple, clean, and a bit minimalist feel to this session! I have been honored to photograph for this family three times now and they have the sweetest and super cute girls! Last January I met adorable Hazel for her newborn session. Mom loves soft tones, simple clean designs, and has an amazing eye for design. Her house is put together beautifully! I love designing set ups, but designing my own home….yeah that’s defiantly not my strong point. Together we came up with this spring time, simple and clean backdrop for her girls first birthday.
I decided to make the gold floral rings (instead of buying a back drop) so I could customize them with each session. Plus I love working with my hands and crafting! I purchased some soft peach flowers and greenly to for fill and had a fun few hours assembly them! Mom chose a sweet mauve sweater onsie for her to wear and since the flowers were more of a peach, I did one quick adjustment in Photoshop on the flowers to make them more mauve or dusty rose instead of peach and now the colors flow much better.
Hazel was a doll for this session! She was super quick crawling and now walking! We changed out a few props, chair, rocking horse, blanket, and ONE letters to keep her attention. Even though she was quick and squirmy, we got some super sweet photos her her!
Enjoy!
