Photographing this new brother and sister was such a treat.  Big brother was such a sweetheart to his new baby sister.  He just loved kissing his sister and giving her gentle hugs.  There is one photo I captured that I absolutely love as is shows big brother as the protector of his little sister.  I have a feeling he will watch our for his little sister in the future.

This newborn session was one of my mini newborn, which includes photos of just the baby and a few shots  with siblings.  I started offering mini newborn sessions for those that just wanted something a little simpler while still getting beautiful portraits of their new baby.  For this new brother and sister, I started with some sibling photos, which went relatively quickly.  Sometimes with a older sibling, depending on the age, you never know how they will react towards their  new baby brother or sister.  This big brother just loved on his sister to pieces and made my job extra easy.

Next we moved into some single portraits of the baby.  Mom wanted something with purple which just so happens to be my favorite color!! I put together a sweet little set up incorporated some beautiful plum colors.  Next e moved into some simple organic photos of the new baby sister on my blanket that Mom picked out.  I love how we were able to get some photos with color as well as some neutral photos.  Sweet baby sister did absolutely amazing and we were able to do all the poses without a break!  She was a rockstar!
