On Memorial Day evening, I met this lovely couple for their maternity photos.  We met at Jetton Park and it was a very hot and humid day.  Luckily, by the end of the day, the clouds came to soften the sun as well as the heat! We also had a few rain showers come by which helped the temperature.

I have been collecting maternity gowns for my clients.  My collection of gowns are slowly growing, but this gown in Amber gold seems to be a favorite.  Mom chose two gowns from my collection in Amber gold and Navy. Both dresses are from Chicaboo I love Chicaboo gowns because they can fit a variety of sizes, ( 4-16 and even more!)  They are very versatile, and comfortable!

For the session Memorial Day, we first took some forest photos.  I found a few blooms and made for a stunning backdrop.  We also took some on a forest path which I love.  We had to be careful because poison ivy was on either side of the path.  I made sure to point this out to my clients!  I have a bad case of poison ivy this summer and it is  miserable.  It took me over a month to get over and I have some bad scaring.  So I’m a little over sensitive to spotting poison ivy.  If it has leaves of three, stay away!!

After our forest photos, we went to the lake.  My one wish was to be able to get into the lake. This Mom and Dad to be were up for the challenge. It was so warm that a dip in the lake was welcome!  W e first did a few shots on the beach near the water and the last few shots were in the lake.  They are my favorite photos from the session! They are so dreamy and a bit different than my normal maternity photos.
