I had a super fun, girly, and birthday session with this little cuties. My inspiration for this set up was were cute polka dot outfit. Mom, who at the time was moving to TX, did not have time to think of a theme she likes. So she let me have full creativity with this set up. I chose a classic birthday feel with the colors of the polka dots in her outfit. I added some tulle in the balloon garland to give it a more soft girly feel like the tutu in her outfit. And of course some fairy lights. I love how it turned out and felt it was classic yet fun and colorful.
Little Sadie was a busy girl. At one year old, she was a full time walker and wow she was quick! I always say these cake smash sessions are a work out for both myself and Mom and Dad. The amount of times we place the baby back on the backdrop I usually cannot count. For this session, she was all about running off the backdrop and nothing about her cake. It is usual that babies will not like their cake or not like getting dirty. Little Sadie was just that, not a fan. But we did manage to get a few quick shots and interaction with her cake. The spoon is always a winner with the babies. When I give them a wooden spoon, I can usually get 10 more minis of photos.
After the cake portion, we moved into the bath which Sadie loved. She had a lot of fun splashing around. I got some of my best smiling photos during her bath portion of the session.
Enjoy!
