I met this lovely family on Mothers Day at UNCC botanical Gardens. IT was actually my first time shooting there, and I absolutely loved it! The gardens had so many interesting places to photograph and lots of different angles, and of course some flowers!
For some days leading up to our session, it had been raining, and the day of our session showed some heavy rain showers right at the time of our session. Since the family had busy schedules, there was not option to reschedule. So it was cross our fingers and hope for the best. And we did get the best! The rain held off and we even got a few peaks of sun at the end of the session! When looking at rain on the day of a session, I do not worry unless it is an all day rain. Scattered showers I can work with, as long as we can wait it out until the rain passes. Many times, it works out!!
For this session, we did a variety of poses with the full family, and the siblings. I always try to get close up, far away with scenery, and some candid photos with each of my family sessions. These two brother and sister were so sweet to each other.
My favorite spot in the gardens is the circle structure. I love how it frames the family while also providing some beautiful natural light.
