There is no denying these classic baby boy newborn portrait will be treasured for a life time. The classic colors of navy, lights blues, and neutrals makes for photos that will transcend the trends. While I love photos with props and cute little like the popular fox and unicorn set ups, but there is always a place for classic portraits and this session embodies classic and timeless.
Since baby boy was born Beginning of December, we also wanted to take one Christmas photo. The Christmas set I chose for this boy included some dark wood tones, wood, and a bit of Christmas feel. All the items were very easy to take out and also make a non Christmas photo they can display all year. Dad was a huge help for me for lots of the photo. He was very involved with helping move equipment and spot his baby boy. Thank you Dad! Hopefully someday I can have an assistant. Maybe in 8 years when my four year old is 12 🙂 We then moved into a few poses on my blue fur.
We started with a wrapped pose in my wood bucket. I chose all neutrals for this photo to bring out his warm skin tone and it turns out to be my favorite photos from the session! I love the warm wood, and textures from the wool layer from Ababa Baby. The simple jersey knit stretch warp is from Mimosa House
We then went into a few poses on my bean bag with the soft blue color, after which baby boy woke up and needed a feeding. Usually when baby wakes up, this is when i take the opportunity to take some parent photos. They are in Mom and Dad’s arms and I will wrap them up nice and tight so typically they will fall bake asleep. For this little boy, I wrapped him up nice an tight but he wanted his little let out, so I went with it and love it. It shows a bit of his personality.
Lat we finished up with a few more photos on a white blanket paired with navy blue, which is a classic color combination.
Enjoy!
