Adventurous little Grace had the best time at her cake smash session.  She destroyed her cake and had so much fun doing so.  Grace is up there with some of my all time best cake smasher, and for the girls, she is the best!

I met Mom and Dad at our church small group.  Once they became pregnant, the approached me for some maternity and newborn photos. I was so tickled to take these special photos for them!!  We took their maternity photos at the peach trees in Ft Mill and sweet Grace’s photos the very end of April.  Now we get to celebrate her first birthday!!!

For Grace’s set up, Mom wanted soft, sparkly and just girl.  We chose a all pink drop, with glitter beaded curtains and a simple banner.  At first, little Grace was not about having her photo taken.  She had fallen in love with a stuffed mini mouse in my studio.  We managed to get a few with out the cake, but when we but the cake in front of her, she went all for it.  She was so content gettin her hands messy, throwing cake, and just being adventurous.  After about 10 mins, she started to act like she was done.  But then i remembered my wooden spoon.  I gave her just a wooden spoon and we got another 20 mins of photos! She LOVED that spoon!  After I had about 600 photos, lots of smiles, I knew we had enough and it was time to move onto the bath.  Sweet Grace was all into her cake and did not want to stop smashing it.  Eventually we got her away from the cake and moved its over bubble bath.  She was not as much of a fan of her bath

, but she was so messy, it was necessary to clean her up before leaving.  We manage to get a few photos, with the spoon of course, and then she was done.
